Refer and earn

Coming soon. The referral program is switched off while we finish the payout side. /refer shows a coming-soon notice until it opens. The rest of this page describes how it will work.

The referral program lets you earn a share of the payments made by customers you send to MentionFlow. You manage it in-app at /refer.

What it does

Each workspace has a referral code. When someone you refer signs up and pays, you earn a percentage of their payments. Attribution happens automatically from the link you share.

How to use it

Share your workspace's referral link. It carries your code as a ?ref= parameter. It works well in a Slack community, a newsletter, or next to your client reports.

When someone lands through your link, we record the code. If they create a new workspace, their signup is attributed to you. Your referrals and their status appear on /refer.

How it's computed / enforced

Attribution is first-touch and fail-open:

• Landing through a referral link drops a 60-day cookie carrying the code.
• When that visitor's signup creates a new workspace, it is stamped with the referrer. First attribution wins and is never overwritten. So the first link a visitor arrives through is the one that gets credit.
• Self-referral is blocked. A code can't credit its own workspace.
• Attribution fails open. If anything in the tracking breaks, it is skipped silently. A tracking failure never blocks a signup.

Terms during early access:

• You earn 30% of a referred customer's payments for their first 12 months.
• Payouts go to your PayPal, monthly, once your earnings total $20 or more.
• Self-referrals and coupon-site spam do not count.

Limits

• Payouts are manual during early access. Earnings show "$—" until billing is live.
• Minimum payout is $20, paid via PayPal.
• One attribution per referred signup, first-touch, non-overwriting.
• The referral cookie lasts 60 days.
